Art & Tourism was the first international fair dedicated to culture and art tourism, and held from 18th- 20th May, 2012, in the elegant environment of the Fortezza Da Basso in Florence, Italy. That new appointment, with no equivalent in the trade fair scenery worldwide, gathers in the heart of Italy the best national and international cultural offers and the main tourism operators, in line with the most recent market figures, estimated a record of 300 million tourists visited so called “cultural” destinations each year.

The fair aimed at an international and varied public ranging from public administrations to cultural and tourism bodies and institutions, from museums to foundations and events agencies, from the most important art galleries to service providers operating in the cultural sector, from schools to training operators and tourism operators, with the clear objective of creating the first place in the world where all these actors can meet, do business and interact.  Art & Tourism was a three-day exhibition: Friday and Saturday morning exclusively dedicated to insiders, whereas the fair opened to the public on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. The exhibitions were subdivided into theme areas which kept the spotlight on destinations, the cultural and artistic offer, big events, “smart cities”, service providers connected to the world of culture and training. The event enriched by a varied schedule of conferences, workshops, presentations and shows.
